Huckabee’s code

Listening to Mike Huckabee’s speech after Super Tuesday I couldn’t help but think he was speaking in code.  I’m pretty sure he was.  I have limited insight into the minds of Christians, having grown up in a Christian school and having various family members involved in the church at one level or another — I say limited…

This article on NPR says Huckabee’s strategy of speaking in code to these hardcore evangelicals is flawed since they say that most church goers don’t even know what the heck he’s talking about with all these Bible stories.

“You could imagine that … this is his secret code way that he could speak to evangelicals without alienating more secular people,” Prothero says. “But the faulty part of that strategy is the evangelicals don’t even necessarily know these stories.”

It kinda doesn’t matter either way to me, the guy scares me, the thought of him in office scares me and I wish people would just cut out all this religio-balogna and talk about things that will really help our country…

Demint is truly a Nut

Jim Demint is the main sponsor behind S.2409 (The Loyalty to our Legacy Act of 2007). Is this all he has to do with his time?
